AI SEO software for agencies: the 8 best tools in 2026, compared
Tadow, Rankability, SE Ranking, Search Atlas, Semrush, Peec AI, Goodie and Ahrefs Brand Radar, read on each vendor's own page. The right pick depends on one question: what do your clients sell?

Short answer. If your clients are ecommerce brands on Shopify and your retainer is renewed on revenue, pick Tadow: it tracks every product in ChatGPT and, depending on the plan, in Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI surfaces, then, from the Growth plan, ties AI-influenced sales back to Shopify orders. If you track twenty brands from one account, Peec AI is better equipped; if you ship reports under your own brand, SE Ranking or Search Atlas. If your agency sells content first, look at Rankability.
US searches for "seo software for agencies" run around 1,300 a month, "best ai seo tools" grew about 515% year over year and "ai search visibility tool" about 1,340%, per Google Ads data pulled in September 2026. Everything below was read on the vendors' own pages on 23 September 2026. Pricing in this category rarely holds for a quarter: check before you sign.
What an agency needs from AI SEO software
AI SEO software for an agency has three jobs. Track what generative engines answer about each client, prompt by prompt. Handle many clients without multiplying accounts, with access for your team and often for the client too. And produce the proof that justifies the budget when the retainer comes up for renewal.
Most tools on this list do the first two well. The third is the least served, and it is the one that decides whether the client stays.

1. Tadow: best when Shopify clients judge you on revenue
Tadow is built for ecommerce brands on Shopify, which is exactly what makes it a strong tool for the agencies that serve them. It tracks each product, not only the brand, across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode depending on the plan. It finds what each product record is missing to get recommended and flags, channel by channel, what keeps a product out of AI shopping surfaces. It also prepares a corrected version of the record that nothing publishes until someone on the brand's workspace approves it; today that version reaches ChatGPT Shopping, which is open to brands selling in the US.
Above all, it attributes AI-influenced revenue to Shopify orders, in the store's own currency. For an agency, that is the number you bring to the renewal meeting, where a visibility score gets debated. Every recommendation also says who carries it out, Tadow, the brand or its agency, and the scans that follow re-measure the affected prompts to show before and after.
On the account side, each client brand has its own workspace and subscription, from €89/month (ChatGPT, 50 prompts) to €399 (five engines including AI Mode, 300 prompts), measured daily the first week, then every 72 hours; catalog fixes and revenue attribution start on Growth, €199. The brand opens its workspace and invites your agency by link with an admin, manager or read-only analyst role; one login switches between clients, and the brand keeps ownership of the workspace and the data.
What Tadow does not do today, which you should know before choosing:
- No single dashboard across all your clients.
- No white label, no pooled billing, no agency pricing.
- Shopify stores only: for a client on another platform, another tool on this list will fit better.
- No classic Google rank tracking or backlink research: Tadow sits next to your SEO suite, it does not replace it.
2. Rankability: best for content-led agencies
Rankability calls itself "AI SEO software for agencies", and the whole product follows the agency workflow: topic research for client campaigns, content creation and optimization, site audits, backlink prospecting, AI visibility tracking, recurring automation and an MCP server to use its tools from an AI assistant. Tracking covers up to eleven platforms depending on plan and add-ons, including ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok and Copilot. Clients see their reports read-only, through a portal or a share link you can revoke.
Its pricing page shows no price and leads to a demo booking; a post on its own blog dated 22 June 2026 lists Starter at $99/month, Growth at $199 and Scale at $399, each with unlimited clients and users and white-label reports as standard. Its pages describe neither product-level tracking nor a Shopify integration: they talk about content and brand visibility, not the catalog.
3. SE Ranking: best for classic SEO plus AI tracking in one tool
SE Ranking is first a full SEO suite: rank tracking, audits, keyword research. Core at $129/month covers 10 projects and 100 AI prompts tracked daily, Growth at $279 covers 30 projects and 250 prompts, with five LLMs tracked on both. The AI Search add-on, $89/month ($71.20 billed annually), adds 200 prompts, detailed AI results tracking and unlimited competitor research across AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT. The Agency Pack, $69/month billed annually, adds 30 client seats and white label across the platform and reports.
4. Search Atlas: best for automating SEO across a portfolio
Search Atlas bets on automation, with its OTTO SEO agent and content publishing to your CMS. Prices billed annually: AI visibility starts on Growth at $159/month (ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode, two projects), with Copilot and Perplexity added on Pro at $319 (four projects, white-label dashboards). The Agency tier, from $999/month, opens ten or more projects, client portals and branded dashboards.
5. Semrush: best if your team already lives in Semrush
Semrush's AI visibility module tracks your prompts in ChatGPT, AI Mode and Gemini, and also reports mentions in Perplexity. As of 23 September 2026 it costs $99/month per domain billed annually, with 25 prompts; each additional user is billed on top, from $45/month. For an agency, run that math first: ten clients means ten domains. The upside is keeping AI visibility next to the SEO data your team already uses every day.
6. Peec AI: best for granular tracking across many brands
Peec AI, a Berlin company, lists a plan at $95 or €85/month for 50 prompts and three engines of your choice, with unlimited users, then $245 and $495, as of 23 September 2026. Multiple projects and a dedicated agency tier make it a natural pick for tracking several brands. It also imports a Shopify catalog for product-by-product tracking: its documentation places that tracking on ChatGPT, while its product page also lists Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews. No revenue attribution is documented.
7. Goodie: best for broad commerce integrations
As of 23 September 2026, Goodie lists $399/month for 120 prompts and five models, then $999, plus an agency plan at $275/month for ten pitch workspaces, with client workspaces billed as an add-on. It has the broadest commerce integrations on this list (Shopify, BigCommerce, Google Merchant Center, Meta, Amazon) and is one of the few to claim product-level revenue attribution.
8. Ahrefs Brand Radar: best as an add-on to Ahrefs
Brand Radar's custom prompts are included in every paid Ahrefs plan from $129/month, with tight caps on the entry tier as of 23 September 2026: 5 prompts and 150 checks a month, then 10 and 20 prompts on the $249 and $449 plans. They cover AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity, plus Claude at 8 checks per update. The AI Visibility Index, a database of 451M prompts, is an add-on from $199/month. For an agency already paying for Ahrefs it is a cheap first look, but those caps run out quickly across several clients.
How to choose in four questions
- What do your clients sell? Products on Shopify: you need product-level tracking. Services or B2B: brand-level tracking is enough, and the field is wider.
- Who pays for the subscription? If you resell the tool inside your retainer, look for white label and client seats (SE Ranking, Search Atlas, Rankability). If each brand opens and pays for its own workspace, that is how Tadow works.
- How many prompts per client? A brand needs dozens of tracked prompts before the measurement means anything. Divide each plan's quota by your client count before comparing prices.
- What must you prove at renewal? Any of these tools can show a visibility trend. Revenue requires a tool connected to orders.
What actually renews an agency retainer
An ecommerce client does not renew an agency because share of voice moved from 18% to 26%. They renew because you show them what that presence brought in. That is the case where we recommend Tadow first: clients selling on Shopify, and a leadership team asking what it returned. For everything else, the tools above do their job well.
