AI visibility tool pricing in 2026: the real numbers

From $20 to $800 a month, with several vendors publishing nothing at all. Here is the full grid as of 16 September 2026, plus the billing traps to watch for.

Pricing in this category is hard to compare for three reasons: several vendors publish nothing, the billing units differ product to product, and add-ons inflate the real number. Here is what was publicly posted as of 16 September 2026.

The grid, cheapest first

  • Rankscale: $20/month entry, then $99, $385 and $780.
  • Otterly: $29, then $189 and $489, with enterprise from $1,000.
  • Peec AI: $95 or €85, then $245 and $495.
  • Promptwatch: free tier, then $95, $245 and $579.
  • Semrush: $99 for the AI visibility module.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar: bundled from $129/month plans, with add-ons at $50 to $699.
  • Scrunch: $250 for Core.
  • Athena HQ: free tier, then $295.
  • Goodie: $399, then $999.
  • Gauge: $599, single self-serve plan.
  • Evertune: $800 for Pro.
  • Profound and Bluefish: no public pricing, quote only.

What actually moves the invoice, beyond the headline price.

First, per-seat billing. Semrush's module is billed per domain and per user: each colleague who needs access adds the price of another full licence. At three people and two brands, the arithmetic changes completely. Several specialists, by contrast, advertise unlimited seats on every plan.

Second, engines sold as add-ons. At Otterly, the Google surfaces and Claude are paid options on top of the subscription. A $29 entry plan that needs three add-on engines to be useful is no longer a $29 plan.

Third, the unit itself. Some vendors bill tracked prompts, some bill credits that equal one engine answer, some bill checks. A $20 plan with 1,200 answers and a $95 plan with 50 daily prompts are not directly comparable: at one measurement a day across three engines, 50 prompts consume 4,500 answers a month.

How to compare honestly

Reduce everything to one unit: the monthly cost of tracking the number of questions you actually need, on the engines that matter in your market, for the number of people who need access. It is the only calculation that means anything, and it frequently reorders the list you get from headline prices.

To place our own pricing in that grid: Tadow runs €89/month for ChatGPT and 50 tracked prompts, €199 for the full conversational engine set and 150 prompts, €399 for 300 prompts with AI Mode and product-level attribution. Seats are not billed individually, engines are not add-ons, and billing is in euros with EU VAT.
