Best Profound alternatives in 2026: what their pricing page actually says
Profound publishes no price. Here is what their plans really include, what their shopping module covers, and which alternatives fit a DTC brand better.

"Profound alternative" grew roughly 1,100% year over year in US search, and "profound pricing" about 146%, per Google Ads data pulled in September 2026. Both queries point at the same friction, and the pricing page explains it.
There is no public price
Plenty of comparison articles invent a number here. As of 16 September 2026, Profound's pricing page shows two columns and no figure at all: a free Trial, and Enterprise at a custom quote. No amount, no currency, no annual discount appears anywhere on it.
The Trial is deliberately narrow: ten prompts run once, ChatGPT only, no history, no exports, no API. Enough to see the interface, not to measure anything. Enterprise advertises up to nine answer engines, daily frequency, SSO and SOC 2 compliance.
For a mid-sized brand that has a practical consequence. You cannot compare Profound to anything without entering a sales cycle, and if your buying process involves lining up three price grids before booking a call, that is a real obstacle.
What their shopping module covers
Profound offers SKU-level analysis, showing citations and keywords tied to individual products, plus a merchant layer identifying which retailers AI steers buyers toward. For a brand competing against its own distributors inside AI answers, that is genuinely valuable intelligence.
Two limits are worth knowing. The shopping module is framed around ChatGPT's shopping ecosystem rather than the full engine set. And as of 16 September 2026 their site mentions no Shopify integration and describes no revenue-attribution feature: the page talks about turning AI-driven discovery into real sales without documenting how those sales get measured.
Alternatives, by what you are actually after
- You want public pricing and a same-day start: Peec AI, Otterly and Rankscale all publish rates.
- You are a large organization with compliance requirements: Profound, Scrunch and Evertune play in that bracket.
- You want per-product tracking on a Shopify catalog: Peec AI ingests the catalog, Goodie advertises several commerce integrations.
- You need to prove revenue: the rarest capability in the category, so verify it explicitly before signing anything.
- You are a mid-sized DTC brand: the question is not engine coverage, it is tracked prompts per dollar.
Why a DTC brand often looks elsewhere
This is a fit question, not a quality one. A tool built for a brand team inside a large group assumes analysts who will work the data. A brand doing a few million in revenue does not have that team. It needs to be told what to fix, helped to fix it, and shown what the fix returned.
That is how Tadow is built, with public pricing from €89 to €399 a month, a Shopify catalog fix you approve before it publishes, and attribution in euros. If you have an analyst team and an enterprise budget, the products above deserve your attention more than ours does.
