An AI shopping agent is autonomous software that can carry out a purchasing task end to end on a user's behalf: finding a product, comparing offers, adding to cart, and sometimes completing payment. Unlike an assistant, it acts rather than merely advises. For a DTC brand, the agent becomes a new kind of buyer whose criteria must be met.
